Just found you – awesome!! Will continue to follow.
I love your site! I live in Seattle and was wondering if you teach sewing classes. I took some like 15 years ago and I’m a little intimidated.
I too just found your site; I teach sewing to immigrants and am always looking for long, modest dresses for my ladies. thanks for the
instructions using multiple patterns; this will come in helpful when trying to alter some ‘modern’ dresses with more traditional necklines and sleeves. look forward to more of your blog.
Thank you so much Claudia! You made my day!!
I want to make the pineapple earings, but can not find the pattern
Thanks for your question, I made my own and didn’t offer one, Then that way everyone can run with their creative spirit and make their own! Luckily, for those who are not comfortable with that, they can search online the following: “pineapple, black and white clipart, free”. Click on the “image” tab of the Search Results page and you will have more than enough pineapples at your finger tips!
Hope this is helpful Merilyn!! xoxo
Hi Riva,
Where did you get the findings for the velvet chokers?
Thanks!
Hey Karen! Yeah, I found the ribbon crimp endings in the beading/jewelry section of my local craftstore or online.
Good luck! xo/Riva

Love your stuff I’m also in Seattle, I’d love to meet you. We should put something together for all of us Seattle sewers, you are very inspiring to us ,even though I’ve been sewing for 37 years its always nice to see other peoples stuff and to learn new ideas so I thank you. Cheri
WOW Cheri!! You made my day! Thank you for your kind comment! We will totally have to work it out one day! Are you going to The Sewing and Stitchery Expo in Puyallup the beginning of March? I’ll be there – it’s definitely a great way to meet up with other seamstresses!! 😉 xo
Love the bow bracelet but can’t find the link to Cricut maker design space
Velda, thank you so much for your comment! Make sure you are logged into design space on your desktop, custom patterns in Design Space do not seem to work on mobile devices. I hope this is helpful! xo
Thank you so much for designing/sharing this faux leather bracelet simple yet so elegant and something that I too can make!
Thank you so much Sara, I am sooo happy you like it!! xoxo
The Instagram video for the blanket scarf goes waaay too fast for me to follow even after watching it numerous times and I don’t get audio with it. Is thete a normal speed version available?
Great question, it’s a very old, filmed at high speed video with no sound and made when I first started blogging. I will need to look into creating a NEW video. Thank you so much for your comment and feedback Diane! xo
