Five Ways to Wear Sequins

Sequins are all the rage this season.

Traditionally, we are more familiar with sequins when it comes to special occasions like Hollywood award shows or a Las Vegas show,
but despite their previous reputation,
they also make a great statement for everyday in ALL hours of the day this season.

Here are my five sequined pieces to invest in AND how to wear them,

1. Trousers.
   Throw on a pair of sequined trousers (like this or this), and pair it with a crisp white shirt and smooth blazer or cardigan,
   nude makeup and bed hair; and you are set!
2. Long Midi Skirt.
   Tuck a slouchy sweater into a skirt (like this or this) and pair with some nude flats or booties.
   Great to wear to the office or a lunch date.
3.  Jacket.
   Layer a sequined jacket (like this or this) over a clean white tee and fitted jeans.
   Think of it as an everyday cardigan and wear it accordingly.
   Nude makeup and easy hair – nothing over dramatic in the beauty department,
   let the sequins do the work for you.
4. Shirt.
   Wear a sequined top (like this or this) under a chunky cardigan or jean jacket with boyfriend jeans and loafers;
   if you are daring enough, pair with active wear leggings and clean sneakers.
5. Dress.
   Dresses like this stripped or ombre looks are easy to transition from day to night with some jet black leggings or opaque tights,
   a shirt underneath or chunky cardigan on top, and some shiny black flats with, of course,
   some fun heels to switch out for later, like these look below,Day…

I love wearing sequins because it’s like wearing a party.
Good parties are fun, colorful, and they make people happy.
This dress is a good party.

Which, ironically, is perfect timing because it’s sorta my birthday this weekend.
